This Privacy Policy describes how Skinus ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when customers and visitors ("you") use skinus.ca (the "Site") and the related services we provide.
By using the Site or placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Information We Collect
a. Information you provide
- Contact details: name, email address, mailing address, billing address, and phone number
- Account credentials: username and password if you create an account
- Order details: items ordered, payment confirmation, gift messages, and any communication you submit through the Site
- Customer support communications: information you provide when contacting us
b. Information collected automatically
- Device and browser information: IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, and language settings
- Usage data: pages viewed, products viewed, time spent on the Site, referring URLs, and interaction events

c. Information from third parties
We may receive information from our service providers (including Shopify, payment processors, shipping carriers, and analytics providers), and from social media or marketing platforms where you have consented to share information with us.
We do not store full payment card numbers. Payment information is processed by our payment provider (Shopify Payments and other authorized providers) and is subject to their privacy practices.
2. How We Use the Information
We use personal information for the following purposes:
- To process, fulfill, and deliver orders, including communicating about order status, shipping, and returns
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Site and the Services
- To respond to inquiries, provide customer support, and resolve disputes

3. How We Share the Information
a. Service providers
We share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, including platform hosting (Shopify), payment processing, shipping and logistics, marketing and email delivery, analytics, and customer support tools. These providers are authorized to use the information only as necessary to provide their services to us.
b. Legal and regulatory disclosures
We may disclose personal information when required to comply with applicable law, legal process, court orders, or governmental requests, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Skinus, our customers, or others.
c. Business transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or insolvency, personal information may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to applicable law.
We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration.
4. International Data Transfers
The Site is operated from Canada. Some of our service providers may store or process personal information outside of Canada, including in the United States. By using the Site, you consent to the transfer of your personal information to jurisdictions where data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. We require service providers to apply safeguards consistent with applicable law.

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, tax, or reporting requirements. When personal information is no longer required, we securely delete or anonymize it.

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.
9. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
10. Third-Party Links

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skinus, its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from any unauthorized access to, use of, or inability to use personal information, or from any inaccuracies in the information collected, except as expressly required by applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on the Site. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
